I did have fun setting up my blog even though I was not looking forward to it. It really helped to do it in small group with Elizabeth as facilitator. Much better than whole class. Guess that's how our kiddos benefit with small group instruction too.
Okay, I made my Avator and set up my address. I used Yahoo instead of Google since I had a yahoo address. It did take a couple of hours to get it all done. I was late for my hair appointment. That is why I am just posting my Tool 1 entry. "Welcome to the 21st Century, Mom" is what I heard from my daughter when I told her I now had a blog. Our kids are so with it and pick up on the technology in the "blink of an eye". All the more reason to guide them in correct usage. I think this may be fun. Stayed tuned and I will let you know.

The Yahoo avatar is good, but you need to go get a Voki because it talks!!
ReplyDeleteBecause you are using Blogger you have both yahoo and google accounts, but I think Voki takes either. Please try to do one.
I think you will find the whole 11 Tools experience to be a fun one!
Your blog looks great and I love the hairstyle on the avitar! You have hung in there and produced a really nice start to your experience. I will be looking forward to your future posts. Your insight into the student's perspective is an interesting one. I have found the same to be true for my personal learning experiences: small groups rock! Now how to incorporate that into our new technology . . .
ReplyDeleteHaha my daughter is also making fun of me! She came to visit and I decided to torture her in helping me with the 11 tools. We'll be pros when we are done!
ReplyDeleteLove your avatar. I got a book from the academy I attended. I've got extras for you. It's titled Math Matters.
ReplyDeleteMy comment just got eaten! I'm so mad! Your blog looks great. I am on tool #2. Maybe we can stop in each other's blogs occasionally to motivate one another...like an electronic workout buddy!
